Kendall, Timothy
(fl. 1577)
   Born in North Aston, Oxfordshire, he was educated at Eton and Magdalen Hall, Oxford, but left without graduating and became a law student at Staple Inn, London. In 1577 he published Flowers of Epigrammes (see Sources for full title), a collection in which he lists all the names of authors. Some of his poems: "A Tyrant In Sleep, Naught Differeth from a Common Man," "Calimachus (From Lucianus [B.C. 125, D. After 180])," "To One Diuersly Conditioned," "An Epitaph Vpon the Death of His Deare Aunt Ellen Kendall: Which Died, and Lyes Buried at Bloxam," "Desire of Dominion," "Of a Good Prince and an Evil," "Of a Tiger and a Lion," "The Difference Between a King and a Tyrant," "Timothe Kendal to the Reader," "To His Cosen Ihon Kendall," "Upon the Grave of a Beggar."
